Wetropolis
Wetropolis is a collaborative project focused on local climate adaptation, aiming to develop innovative methods and solutions through the integration of physical and augmented hydrological models.
AIM OF THE PROJECT
The primary objective of Wetropolis is to address local climate adaptation challenges by developing a comprehensive method comprising various components:
- Models of the living environment
- Collection and utilization of data
- Participation methods
By collaborating with knowledge institutes and participating small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the project aims to create a range of marketable products and services aligned with the National Climate Adaptation Strategy (NAS) and the new Omgevingswet/Environment Act.
DESIGNLAB'S ROLE
DesignLab plays a crucial role as a domain partner in the citizen sensing trial and field study. With a significant number of allocated hours, DesignLab's contributions extend across various project aspects, including planning, design activities, user instructions, construction of physical and augmented reality models, field experiments, evaluation studies, and guidance of the field experiments.
The Wetropolis project aims to foster sustainable collaboration, innovative methodologies, and the development of marketable climate adaptation solutions. By harnessing the expertise of various partners, it strives to contribute to the implementation of national strategies and create a resilient and adaptive living environment.
